Two-Dimensional Work

After focusing almost exclusively on three dimensional work during the first part of my career, over the last three decades I have slowly moved from drawing images in an ephemeral manner—such as working on cement floors or scraps of paper—to formalizing them with more traditional materials, resulting in more permanent works.

I paint, draw, and print to preview ideas, manipulate images, narrate concepts, and create design and gesture. It is a useful counterpoint to my three-dimensional work, as the nature of the media generally enables me to adapt and realize these explorations in a more timely manner.
